Essentials for an Infection Control Program that Works!

Infection prevention and control in long-term care is a major focus of state and federal agencies. Long-term care providers must provide safe, competent, person-centered care, including preventing and managing infections. This interactive 4-hour workshop will include activities that address the required basic elements of an infection prevention and control program, based upon Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations. A review of policies to include hand hygiene, antibiotic stewardship, and water plan.
